Honor and Homage

Join us on St. Patrick's Day to hear virtuoso violinist Rachel Barton Pine perform Bruch's famous homage to Scottish folk song: Scottish Fantasy. Homage of a different sort will follow with Brahms' Symphony No. 1, referred to by his comtemporaries as "Beethoven's Tenth."  This symphonic masterpiece demonstrates both a commanding, original voice and honors his predecessor's legacy.  The program will begin with a musical tribute to St. Paddy's Day - Harty's 'Fair Day' from An Irish Symphony.
