Donna O’Meara Volunteer of the Year

Olivia Ahyoung

Olivia Ahyoung Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient

The Donna O’Meara Volunteer of the Year award was created to recognize the individual who most exhibits the spirit of volunteerism.  Olivia Ahyoung was chosen because of her dedication to music and the sharing of it in our community, and her continual participation in Tallahassee Symphony Society fundraising activities, particularly the Holiday Tour of Homes and soirees.

Olivia Ahyoung gathers countless numbers of musicians to play in each home during the Tour of Homes.  She recruits musicians for the many soirees held by the Society.  And, her promotion of music does not stop with the Tallahassee Symphony Society.  Her church and our community receive the benefits of her generosity within the music world.  She graciously accepted the Award saying, “When you volunteer, you don’t think about Awards.”
