Once Again, Rain Will Not Stop the TSO!
TSO Jazz Concert Moved to The Moon!
SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2015 AT 8:00PM - DOORS OPEN AT 7:00PM

The national weather service predicts a high likelihood of rain for the time-frame during the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra Jazz concert, "TSO Jazz!" at Cascades Park. In consideration for your comfort, the event planners and the Tallahassee Symphony organization have elected to move the event indoors. Details of the venue change are as follows:
New Venue: The Moon
1105 E Lafayette St
Tallahassee, FL 32301
Concert Time: The concert will remain at 8:00pm (Doors open at 7:00pm)
Children's Activities event has been cancelled.
Ticket Information: SAVE YOUR APPETITE!
We will still have low-country boil boxes available for $10, provided by Madison Social. These include crawfish, sausage and potatoes and can be shared. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at a full bar at the Moon.

Night At The Oscars will now be held at Ruby Diamond on October 6, 2017 at 8:00pm

Hurricane Irma impacts "Night At The Oscars"

Hurricane Irma impacts on our area disrupted our ability to use Ruby Diamond for the originally scheduled date and forced the TSO to reschedule our "Night At The Oscars" event.

Patrons holding tickets for the original date (September 15, 2017) may use their same ticket for the October 6 performance.

If you have a ticket for the September 15th date and are unable to attend the October 6 performance, please contact our office at 850.224.0461 for assistance.

An Evening with Cellist Joshua Roman

Cellist Joshua Roman has earned an international reputation for his wide-ranging repertoire, a commitment to communicating the essence of music in visionary ways, artistic leadership and versatility. As well as being a celebrated performer, he is recognized as an accomplished composer and curator, and was named a TED Senior Fellow in 2015. He has performed on all the world’s major stages both as soloist and chamber musician, and he frequently collaborates with artists outside the music community.

TSO favorite Mikki Sodergren (vocalist) returns to celebrate the season, bring good cheer, and share some favorite tunes!  Joining her will be Michael Maliakel from last season’s Star Crossed Lovers, and they are excited to introduce Nat Zegree to the Tallahassee community.  Nat is an incredible pianist, composer, and performer, and these three friends are sure to give you and your family an incredible holiday experience—right in your living room!  Be ready to sing along to your favorites from every style of music.  Don’t forget the eggnog!

At only 25 years old, violinist Blake Pouliot has joined the upper echelons of brilliant soloists, establishing himself as a consummate 21st century artist with the rigor and passion to shine for a lifetime. Pouliot has soloed with the Atlanta, Detroit, Dallas, Milwaukee, San Francisco, and Seattle symphonies, dazzling audiences by “[surging] onstage in rock star pants…[presenting] Brahms as a composer of great passion. It was compellingly – indeed, irresistibly – done.” (The Dallas Morning News) In September, Pouliot’s debut album featuring the works of Ravel and Debussy was released (Analekta Records), earning a five-star rating from BBC Music Magazine and a 2019 Juno Award nomination for Best Classical Album.

Defying convention and boundaries, Time For Three stands at the busy intersection of Americana, modern pop, and classical music. The group has performed hundreds of engagements as diverse as its music: from featured guest soloists on the Philadelphia Orchestra’s subscription series, to Club Yoshi’s in San Francisco, to residencies at the Kennedy Center. Recent Highlights include Carnegie Hall, appearances with the Boston Pops, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Melbourne and Sydney Symphony Orchestras, sold-out concerts with the Czech Philharmonic and BBC Proms, and an appearance on the ABC prime time hit show “Dancing with the Stars.”  


Season Finale! An Evening with Pianist Jon Kimura Parker

Pianist Jon Kimura Parker is known for his charisma, infectious enthusiasm, and dynamic performances. A veteran of the international concert stage, he has performed regularly in the Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall, London’s South Bank, the Sydney Opera House, and the Beijing Concert Hall. He was recently named Creative Partner for the Minnesota Orchestra’s Summer at Orchestra Hall, serves as the Artistic Director for the Honens International Piano Competition and Artistic Advisor for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival. A collaborator in a wide variety of styles, Mr. Parker has performed with Doc Severinsen, Audra McDonald, Bobby McFerrin, Pablo Ziegler, and Sanjaya Malakar. As a founding member of Off the Score, he also performed with Stewart Copeland – the legendary drummer of The Police – for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival’s 20th Anniversary Season.
