
Bio
Price Sukhia holds Violin Performance degrees from Florida State University (B.M.) and Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music (M.M.). His playing has taken him to musical cities around the world including Chicago, Vienna, Nashville, New York City, Houston, and Berlin. He currently performs with the Tallahassee Symphony, Northwest Florida Symphony, Mobile Symphony, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, and Panama City Symphony orchestras. When not playing classical music, Price performs blues, classic-rock and jazz on his electric violin. He also hosts the YouTube channel PriceTagViolin (youtube.com/@PriceTagViolin), where he produces electric violin content, FSU Football videos, and his music podcast, Chillin with Price Tag.
Fun Facts
What was the first piece of music you fell in love with?
James Brown’s “I Feel Good”. I remember jumping on my bed, singing that song non-stop when I first heard it as a kid!
What are your favorite books, movies, or TV shows?
I love classic movies like the original Star Wars, the Good the Bad and the Ugly, Lawrence of Arabia and just about any movie directed by Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, the Coen Brothers, or Quentin Tarantino. My favorite shows are the Sopranos and Breaking Bad and I enjoy reading the Bible, Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations, Tom O’Neil’s Chaos, and the investigative journalism of Peter Schweizer.
Who are your favorite composers?
Shostakovich, Bach, John Lee Hooker, Beethoven, the Beatles, Nina Simone, the Beach Boys, Wagner, Jimi Hendrix, the Allman Brothers Band, Rachmaninoff, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Cannonball Adderley, Bob Dylan and Robert Johnson.
