T is for Tallahassee: The ABCs of Our Musical City
This beautiful book for all ages is TSO’s own love letter to our artistic community. Each letter of the alphabet represents a unique piece of Tallahassee’s history; events, iconic figures, local venues, and more.
The book features work from twenty-six local artists, one for each letter. Their contributions make this book a visually dazzling homage to our community, its art, and its music.
T is for Tallahassee is be available for purchase at Hearth and Soul, Midtown Reader, the TSO Office, and online! Proceeds from the book go directly towards funding our TSO Kids programs.

The TSO Symphonic Safari Adventure
Embark on a musical journey with Violetta “Vi” Vibrato and Roger Rhythm in our online music education program!
Adventurers Vi and Roger discover a world of musicians and their instruments. With help from the talented musicians and conductor, this enthusiastic duo learns about each instrument and the sounds they make.
Plus, Vi and Roger examine how these instruments come together into families to make up an orchestra!

Li’l Mozarts
Li’l Mozarts is a free afterschool music education program that includes violin lessons, music theory instruction, snack time, and homework help. We currently offer after-school programs at Pineview and Sabal Palm Elementary Schools, and string orchestra classes at Fairview and Nims Middle Schools.
Led by TSO’s Lead Teaching Artist and orchestra musician Dr. Allyson Royal, students have free access to musical instruments and instruction, further enriching their education and personal growth.
To learn more about the launch of Li’l Mozarts, read the op-ed published in the Tallahassee Democrat Opinion section HERE.

MINA in Class
MINA’s free STEAM-based school presentations are highly engaging, and the members of the group are all educators as well as musicians. Teachers always rave that their performances are the most interactive they have ever seen!
If you are interested in having MINA come to your school, email [email protected]

Annual Young People’s Concerts
These concerts are a fun opportunity for local students to take a field trip to Ruby Diamond Concert Hall on Florida State University’s Campus and hear the Tallahassee Symphony play a concert just for them!
You can support these in-school programs by making a donation to our TSO Kids fund.
