Our mission is to engage, enrich, and inspire people at all stages of life through great music, including young people!
Music lovers of all ages are welcome at every TSO event, but we have some programs specially geared towards the K-12 crowd.

Introducing Murdock’s Li’l Mozarts!
Murdock’s Li’l Mozarts is a free afterschool music education program featuring violin lessons, music theory instruction, snack time, and homework help!
Led by TSO musicians Allyson Royal and Meg Terry, Sabal Palm students will have free access to musical instruments and instruction, further enriching their education and personal growth.
We are thrilled to be one of Sabal Palm’s Community Partners, and can’t wait to get started in January!

The TSO Symphonic Safari Adventure
Embarq on a musical journey with Violetta “Vi” Vibrato and Roger “Roger” Rhythm in our newly-launched, online music education program!
Adventurers Vi and Roger discover a world of musicians and their instruments. With help from the talented musicians and conductor of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, this enthusiastic duo learns about each instrument and the sounds they make.
Plus, Vi and Roger examine how these instruments come together into families to make up an orchestra!

Young People’s Concerts
Our Holiday Magic Young People’s Concerts are a great opportunity for K-5 students to take a school field trip to Ruby Diamond, see the orchestra perform live, and learn about the instrument families that make up an orchestra!
Dates: December 14, 15 & 16 10:30 – 11:30am

Halloween Symphony Spooktacular
The TSO Spooktacular is a free Halloween concert at the Capital City Amphitheater in Cascades Park.
With Trick-or-Treat stops, food trucks, costumes, and spooky favorites from the orchestra like Thriller, it’s the best Halloween Party around!

Free Open Rehearsals
TSO Open Rehearsals are a great opportunity to introduce young ones to the orchestra. Come and go as you please and enjoy the TSO Kids activity table!
