TSO Kids

Our mission is to engage, enrich, and inspire people at all stages of life through great music, including young people!

Music lovers of all ages are welcome at every TSO event, but we have some programs specially geared towards the K-12 crowd.

Introducing T is for Tallahassee: The ABCs of Our Musical City

Announcing Your Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra’s newest project: T is for Tallahassee: The ABCs of our Musical City! This beautiful book for all ages is TSO’s own love letter to our artistic community. Each letter of the alphabet represents a unique piece of Tallahassee’s history; events, iconic figures, local venues, and more.

We are very excited to feature work from twenty-six local artists, one for each letter. Their contributions make this book a visually dazzling homage to our community, its art, and its music.

T is for Tallahassee launches November 19 and will be available for purchase at Hearth and Soul, Midtown Reader, the TSO Office and online!

Murdock’s Li’l Mozarts at Sabal Palm Elementary

Murdock’s Li’l Mozarts is a free afterschool music education program featuring violin lessons, music theory instruction, snack time, and homework help!

Led by TSO musicians Allyson Royal and Meg Terry, Sabal Palm students will have free access to musical instruments and instruction, further enriching their education and personal growth.

We are thrilled to be one of Sabal Palm’s Community Partners, and are excited for the summer camp and for regular classes to resume in the fall!

The TSO Symphonic Safari Adventure

Embarq on a musical journey with Violetta “Vi” Vibrato and Roger “Roger” Rhythm in our newly-launched, online music education program!

Adventurers Vi and Roger discover a world of musicians and their instruments. With help from the talented musicians and conductor of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, this enthusiastic duo learns about each instrument and the sounds they make.

Plus, Vi and Roger examine how these instruments come together into families to make up an orchestra!

Young People’s Concerts

Our Holiday Magic Young People’s Concerts are a great opportunity for K-5 students to take a school field trip to Ruby Diamond, see the orchestra perform live, and learn about the instrument families that make up an orchestra!

Dates: December 5, 6, and 7th, 2023 10:30 – 11:30am
