Dr. Erin Heidrick enjoys a thriving career in Tallahassee as a performing violinist, private violin instructor, and school music teacher. In addition to her contract with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Erin regularly performs with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, as well as with other regional music ensembles. Erin is sincerely invested in the local Tallahassee music community. A registered Suzuki violin instructor, Erin teaches 10 violin students at the local music studio, Music Lessons Express. Most recently, she joined the faculty at Trinity Catholic School as the K-8 music teacher. Erin has a decade of experience as a violin instructor, chamber music coach, audition judge, and ensemble conductor, and she has helped develop music programs in Oklahoma, Arizona, and Florida.
Erin received a doctorate in music in violin performance from Florida State University, where she was a teaching assistant to Dr. Shannon Thomas. She also earned a master’s degree in Violin Performance from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Instrumental Music Education and the Honors College Degree from Oklahoma State University. A dedicated scholar and life-long learner, Erin maintained a 4.0 G.P.A. throughout her entire collegiate career.
