
Bio
Hana Beloglavec has been Assistant Professor of Trombone at Florida State University and principal trombonist of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra since fall 2023. She has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Florida Orchestra, and others. As a soloist, she has appeared at the Busan Maru International Music Festival in South Korea, the International Women’s Brass Conference, and the American Trombone Workshop. Her debut album, Bayou Home, received the American Prize in Instrumental Performance. She holds degrees from Northwestern University (DMA), Yale University (MM), and Western Michigan University (BM).

Do you have pets, and do they like when you practice at home?
I have a feisty 5.5 pound yorkshire terrier named Petri. I’m not sure if she likes it, but she howls along at times!
