Fun Facts

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy golfing, reading, working out, and spending time with my pets, which includes a Boston Terrier and Grey Tabby Cat. Neither of them enjoy the beautiful sounds of the bassoon!

How did you choose your instrument?

My high school band directors desperately needed a tuba player or bassoon player for the band, and after taking the tuba mouthpiece for a spin, I said, I think I’ll test out the bassoon instead. I began taking lessons with an amazing teacher Ann Crandall, and the rest is history!

Most memorable moment with the TSO

This one is a three-way tie. The Time For Three Performance when we also performed Brahm’s Third Symphony is one of the most remarkable. Second would have to be when we performed Berlioz’s Symphony Fantastique because how could you not enjoy a concert with the best section bassoon excerpts of all time and lastly, being a part of The Rite of Spring will always be a memorable experience as it is both challenging and an other worldly experience.
