The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra is highly invested in providing access to music education wherever possible in our community. Currently we provide free after-school violin programs at Sabal Palm and Pineview elementary schools, as well as support the orchestra programs at Nims and Fairview Middle schools. Read on to learn more about each of our programs.
Sabal Palm Elementary
In partnership with Bank of America, the TSO was able to start a free after school program at Sabal Palm elementary in the spring of 2021. The program has now grown into two separate classes, where students have a chance to nourish their budding violin skills. We also provide a violin camp in the summer to help students maintain what they have learned during the school year so they can continue on their musical journey into middle school.
