Megumi Terry, Violin

Megumi Terry is a violinist and arts leader with a diverse performance and education portfolio. A graduate of Florida State University, she has performed with ensembles including the Utah Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony, Venice Symphony, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, and more. Her career has taken her across the U.S., Asia, and Europe, collaborating with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, The Killers, and Train. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2015 and has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Utah Philharmonic and Southwest Symphony.

A prizewinner of the Stradivarius Competition, Ms. Terry previously held a fellowship with the Charleston Symphony, where she combined performance with youth outreach and community engagement. She currently serves as Personnel Manager and Head of Education for the Tallahassee Symphony, Executive Director of the Tallahassee Youth Orchestras, and performs with the Mina String Quartet, the symphony’s quartet-in-residence. She is also Co-Director of the Tallahassee chapter of Music for Food, a musician-led initiative to support local hunger relief. In addition to her orchestral and chamber work, she regularly appears with the popular Candlelight Concerts series. Her outreach efforts focus on expanding access to classical music through free programs and interactive performances in local schools.
