Concertmaster
The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is pleased to invite applications for the position of Concertmaster. The organization seeks an exceptional musical leader who is eager to connect with the orchestra and Music Director, become part of the TSO community, and who wishes to advance the TSO’s mission to “engage, enrich, and inspire through great music.”

The process of selecting a new Concertmaster will be as follows:
- Interested candidates should send a resume and an approximately 10-minute unedited video (that was filmed within the last year) featuring repertoire of your choice that best represents your playing to [email protected] by Friday, September 5, 2025.
- If chosen as a semifinalist, the selection committee will invite the candidate for an in-person audition, to take place Sunday, October 26, 2025.* Full repertoire requirements HERE.
- By November 3, 2025, four finalists will be invited to spend a concert week with the orchestra between the months of March—October, 2026. During the agreed-upon concert week, in addition to serving as guest Concertmaster, finalists will be asked to play chamber music in a rehearsal setting with the TSO’s string principal players.
*Please note: the TSO will provide hotel accommodation for one night and a travel stipend for any semifinalist traveling from outside Leon County, FL.

Internships
Your TSO works with local colleges and universities to provide practical experience in the arts through paid internships. Interns assist with operations, customer service, marketing and event planning.
