Bio
Matt Hightower is an Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at Florida State University and serves as the principal tubist with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, having joined in 2023. Beyond the TSO, Hightower has been invited to perform with several other orchestras, including the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, the Louisville Ballet, the Lexington Philharmonic, the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, and the WCIT World Orchestra in Yerevan, Armenia. A prize-winning composer and performer, Hightower holds degrees from Murray State University (BM), Indiana University (MM), and the University of Texas at Austin (DMA). Hightower is a B&S Performing Artist.
